Baby Max

Just when I was thinking I might be pregnant the rest of my life little Max decided to come into the world.  I went to the doc at 38 weeks and was told I was dilated to 1.5 cm and nothing else was really going on... went back at 39 weeks and he said I was a 1 and nothing was happening still... I went backwards!!!!! This was pretty discouraging as I was pretty done with this pregnancy at this point and sooo ready to meet him. That apt was on a Thursday and so we decided i'd get induced the following Fri if nothing happened. Soo the weekend rolled around and we thought we should go on one last date with our friends cuz we would definitely be having a baby the next weekend.  We went to dinner at 8 and while at dinner the contractions started but they were around 15 mins apart so I didn't think anything of it and didn't really say anything.  Everyone came back to our house to play games and they kept on comin! Our friends were timing them and they were consistently 10 mins apart... they all headed out around 1130 and by 1 am they were 2-3 mins apart. We called up Britt and she hurried on over.. we sat and chatted with her for about an hour before I told the hubs it was time to head to the hospital.  I stepped up to get in the car and thought I felt a little gush but it wasn't a lot.. but when I stepped out of the car at the hospital the water started gushing! It was pretty gross really... I was drenched! We got checked in at 2:30am and I was a 3.  So we walked around a couple times and hung in the room. I was checked again 5 hours later and was only a 4.5...soo naturally I thought to myself, "here we go again... we're gonna party for the next 20 hours." BUT...I got an epideral about an hour later and was only a five. At one I was a seven and little man arrived at 2:35pm.  Labor was sooo much better than the previous two! My body might actually be figuring out how to have a baby... third times a charm.

Max Fisher Johnston born 1/19/2014... 7 lbs. 2 oz... 19.5 inches long. He is the sweetest baby.. we just love him!  We don't know a lot about him yet :)! However, we do know he LOVES to eat about every 2 hours...LOVES his bink when he's awake... LOVES to sleep...and he is a water baby and LOVES bath time!

At first Parx and Bridger thought he was boring and wanted nothing to do with him... I think it's cuz grandma and papa were here so that's all they cared about! When we ask Bridge if he wants to hold him he says, "I too little, he too heavy." Parx is warming up to him now that the grandparents are gone and very randomly wants to hold him.

Last pics before we became a family of five :)

Coolest staff and doc ever...absolutely adored this nurse! Max's doc (not my normal doc since it was a weekend...story of all my labors) delivered him wearing that sweet Seahawks helmet cuz it was GAME DAY! Another game was on behind us so between every push they were checkin the score:) AND I loved how kicked back everything was... He was born an hour before Seahawks kickoff.. which was the goal for everyone.

I treasure pictures of this man holding his newborn babies...he's the best dad!

he was totally relaxed during his first bath...

Grandma and Papa came up to the hospital a few hours after he was born to meet their grandbaby... and they brought the boys WHO SERIOUSLY COULD CARE LESS! I'm actually grateful they don't care cuz I don't have to worry about them doing anything to Max when i'm not looking... blessing in disguise? I think so!

FAMILY OF FIVE!!! I'm sooo outnumbered!

see how much they care?? playing on phones and tablet like 2 minutes after arriving.

Ready to go home...

Only time Bridge has ever held the baby and it was forced for a picture.

He's named after Papa Sid (Papa's real name is Max Sidney)... the world's greatest Fly "FISHER"man!!! He was born the day after papas birthday... I'm still a teeny bit bugged about this! I really wanted his birthday to be the 18th! Close enough i guess.

snowmen

We finallllly got enough snow to play in!!! The first four pics were about a month ago when we got barely anything but the boys were still super excited! The only snow that stuck was on the tramp :). And don't judge me since P man is in shorts... he came home from hoopster tots and ran right out!

Parx is soo obsessed with making snowmen and he just busts them out left and right...He's the fastest snowman maker there ever was! Grandma was such a good sport to go out and play with the little munchkins and when daddy got home he took over and built the "giant" fishing snowman in the front yard... we had a "whole snowman family" according to Parx.
