SUMMAAA... Kinder graduation

I can't believe for one second that I have a 1st grader. This boy excelled in kindergarten... I'm so proud of him. He made so many new friends, won awards, was in the highest reading group in his class, picked out of the treasure box almost weekly for getting tiger paws, always had outstanding report cards, passed his state tests with flying colors, rode the bus, never complained about homework, wished school was 7 days a week, ran mile after mile at recess, ate all his lunch (most the time), and was just so excited about everything they did at school. HE LOVED IT.... I LOVED IT! He had a fantastic teacher... Mrs. Horst will be missed.

The last week of kindergarten was full of fun.  He had one last concert with the entire school, a special classroom program that made us all cry, field day and family day right after school that day, an awards assembly where he was given a trophy for being the top kindergartener out of the entire school in Junior Joggers...  He ran 30 1/4 miles (the trophy says laps but it was miles)! It was a proud parent moment :)

This kid is READY... SO READY for 1st grade.

AND SINCE THAT DAY IT'S BEEN A NON STOP PARTY! CAMPING... MORE CAMPING... SWIMMING AT THE WATERPARK ATLEAST TWICE A WEEK...EATING POPSICLES...GROWING OUR GARDEN...GOLFING...FISHING...BUILDING A TREE HOUSE...RIDING BIKES...PLAYING WITH FRIENDS...THE LIST GOES ON AND IT ONLY GETS BUSIER!!

Golf tourney

Back in June we played in our annual Boys Scout Golf Tourney at our very own Moses Pointe Golf Course. It was soooo fun... tournaments take golf to a whole other level.  We all won some sweeeeet stuff. Sets of irons...bags...wedges...drivers.. and 20 car washes :)

2 teams...matching outfits.

Baseball

Spring coach pitch baseball... Ty was the coach.  By far my favorite sport Parx has played! Ty started the season not really sure about coaching and by the end he was super sad it was over.

The week before practice started we were playing catch and Parx missed and got a bloody nose... not a great way to start off the season. He was pretty scared of the "hard" ball for at least half of the season and preferred practicing with whiffle balls.  He did great even though he was timid and he looked dang cute in that uniform.  They had 2 games/week for 6 weeks. He struck out twice and was pretty hard on himself... we are a little competitive over here and I'm hoping it's not rubbing off so soon :).  Overall, he had a blast and loves loves loves practicing. He LOVED running the bases... he got a couple outs and was super pumped about those too!

Trying to keep Max off the field was pretty much a nightmare the ENTIRE season. Ty was out there pitching when we were at bat and in the outfield when they were in the field... death.

Ensign Ranch Father/son camp

Ty went back to Ensign a few weeks later... I think the very end of May for Father and sons camp.  He took the 2 older boys and left me with ol' maximus. It was seriously weird only having one kid. Next year they all go! They had soooo much fun and I'm beyond happy they got to spend that time together... my kiddos have a pretty cool dad.

Right when they left I looked back at Max and this is what he was doing... hahah he stayed like this for atleast 5 minutes too.  Poor guy thinks he's so big.

And the only pic I got of the camp trip... but its precious.

Ensign Ranch wood cutting

Back in May we went up to Ensign Ranch for the Stake wood cutting event.  We slept in our trailer for the first time... helped with a fun service project and explored. Ty LOVES cutting wood... it couldn't get much better for that guy :).  Parx was a great help too.  The night we got there we had a serious game of ultimate Frisbee in the meadow for hours... it was a blast!

Sleeping like a baby should when camping.
