Santa Claus is COMING TO TOWN

He's coming to our house!!!! And our house is decorated inside and out... he can't miss us!
Ty is a Christmas light freak. which I love. he did such a good job this year on our house (he already can't wait to add to it once the lights go on clearance after Christmas).
This pic doesn't do it any justice though... you cant tell what the cute little things in the windows are and its kind of a big blur!

Can I say how mad I am that I forgot to take pics of the kids Christmas lists!!! I don't even have everything on their lists memorized....hopefully Santa pulls through this year because this mama is bound to forget something. All I remember is that their lists are so long I had to give some things to grandma and grandpa...Santa can't bring that much SHEESHHH. Maybe its a good thing I can't remember it all.

Parx list (to the best of my memory): Beyblades..2 to be exact. A beyblade arena and case. Some book that apparently he isn't getting because I dunno what it is. Fishing blanket. Pokémon cards. Hexbugs.

Bridger's list: Batman imaginex toy, 1 beyblade and a case, I think a book too, remote control truck, hunting blanket..uhhh??? I think Pokémon cards. Hexbugs. Bridger copies what Parx wants for the most part.

Max's list: An inside basketball hoop and ball...sippy cups...the end.

Oh Max...he had the best time of his life putting Santa together on the window.

See how proud he is?? and Santa's body parts are in just the right places.

Christmas cookies part 1...

A little goof ball in the Santa hat meant for baby #4

We kicked off the season just right 2 weeks ago by going to the agriculture holiday parade! Tractors, fire trucks, and floats with Christmas lights all over them... a boys dream! We saw a ton of Santas...Parx is getting smarter now...he kept saying things like, "that is definitely not Santa you can see his black beard under the white one."  And Max kept saying, "horse" "Santa" "tractor" "candy" and everthing else we would see! By the end we couldn't feel our feet...it was COLD.
side note: we braved this parade without dad and everyone is still alive!

To the lot we went... we have no time this year to get anywhere cool to chop down a tree.  The first 2 weekends of December are WAY too crazy and we couldn't wait till after that... the tree must go up! So cheers to the best pics I could get of all 3 kids by the tree...

Decorating the tree is my favorite thing to do! We drink hot chocolate and reminisce about our funny ornaments from the previous years.  We only had 4 casualties with max this year (so far) too. Score. He really enjoys decorating and redecorating...so far he doesn't care about the presents underneath!

SANTA PICS! Santa was at Lowes when we went to build a Christmas train. It was perfect! We even were lucky enough to have Grandma and Papa Johnston at our house to see Santa with us!!!!

Max LOVES all things santa... he says santa and gets so excited all the time!
Not so much the real living breathing kind though.
He got just close enough to grab his candy cane and he was outta there!

Parx is 7!!

We didn't have a big party for P man this year...and he was pretty bummed his bday fell on a "boring" Sunday :).  Luckily, we had family home evening group planned on his birthday so we got to watch the Christmas devotional in the church with our friends/his friends, followed by some yummy dinner and of course his birthday cake! Then we played a couple games of bump before heading back home (you are a very sore loser at this age kiddo).

Saturday was his best buddy from school's bday (because their bdays are so close they are almost twins ya know? Parx tells me this all the time).  Matthew's mom took them bowling in the afternoon and Parx loved an outing without his brothers tagging along.  After that Ty took only Parx to walmart to spend his birthday money and then we went and got our Christmas tree! We decorated the tree and drank hot chocolate.  Then I took Parx and Bridger to "The Good Dinosaur" and let them have popcorn and candy (for once)!

So for having a birthday on Sunday.... we sure partied it up on Saturday!

At the movies....when did your legs get so long?? and your feet look huge! They kind of are huge...

I guess the flash caught them off guard....

Sunday morning he wanted sprinkle Mickie Mouse pancakes and to open his presents.... so why not?!

His 2nd DQ cake of the year....his fav...my fav....WIN WIN!

A little about you my child:

Favorite vacation spot: Camping at Ensign Ranch
Favorite color: black and purple
Favorite dinner food: Taco salad

What is your favorite thing about school: Recess
Favorite subject in school: PE
Favorite toy: beyblades
What are you excited for this year: Riding the polar express (they do that in 1st grade)
How would you describe yourself:  Good

This kid is so fun! He's so talented in soo many areas... He loves a variety of things. Fishing, exploring, collecting things (aka hording), sports, making things whether its a craft or something out of wood or rocks-pretty much anything he can get his hands on, playing with his friends, legos, beyblades, Nintendo... the list could go on forever.
He's such a great student and his reading amazes me everyday.  He can pretty easily read anything...scriptures...chapter books...street signs.

Some randoms about you...
*You love Max and laugh at every naughty thing he does (this drives us nuts)...you say that you just can't help it.
*You have quite the little attitude my friend when you lose in a game...especially bump (like basketball bump)! Holy moly...lets grow out of that by 8 eh???
*Things are "Not Fair" at this age :).
*You love money and will pretty much do anything for it
*Wish you could wear shorts and short sleeved shirts everyday of the year...it was pouring rain and you came home from school in a short sleeved shirt carrying your coat 2 days ago!
*If Matthew is eating it for lunch you want me to immediately go to the store and buy you the exact same thing! This unfortunately for you never happens. Sometimes you get lucky and both have cheese sticks or gogurts.
*You NEVER disobey the NEVER NEVER rules. Example..Never ride in a car without a seatbelt.  It's hilarious how mad you get at Bridger when he doesn't get buckled fast enough.
*You absolutely always follow the rules whether in your classroom or on the bus or at church...there is an exception though. AT HOME. stinker.
*You are totally in shock by the "bad kids" on the bus and the things they say and do
*Every once in awhile you pretend to be shy...who do you think you're kiddin??
*You have a VERY big heart and hate it when your brothers are sick or hurt.

WE LOVE YOU!!!! You are seriously awesome and watching you grow up is SOO fun!

Thanksgiving

Every year we have the same traditions which we SOO look forward to, however, this year we brought with us deadly diseases.

We got into town Wednesday night and Max woke up with a fever all day Thursday... I was super sick Friday with a cold/cough and just felt like crap....Saturday Bridger woke up with a really red puffy eye with goopies and by Sunday Max, Bridger and I just had colds.  It was interesting.

We still got to eat some amazing food for Thanksgiving at Grandma Vickie's house and got in some Black Friday shopping outings and loaded up with good stuff.

On Friday Ty, Dad and Tyler took Parx to the Owhyee fishing while I stayed home feeling like crap with my other two kiddos who also felt pretty rotten. We followed up with another yummy dinner at grandma Kathy's house and played some games.

Saturday the older boys (Ty, Tay, and Tyler) got up and went hunting bright and early and us girls pretty much stayed inside all day with the sickies...we played a couple board games, they played video games, watched movies and for the most part we were just super lazy.  That night we got a wild hair and with very late notice called in a birthday cake for Parx and took the kids to the arcade for about 30 minutes :). Then we came home and ate cake and he opened his presents from Grandma and Papa Nield.

Sunday we left and stopped at Grandma and Papa Johnstons on our way out of town.  Parx got to open his birthday presents over there too! He was excited about all his cool new stuff!

Some pics of our Thanksgiving...
