Bridger is ONE!!

Can't believe this guy is ONE!! His birthday is June 26th but we waited till tyty got into town to celebrate it on the 30th!  This kid makes me smile all day long... He is such an easy kid to love and be around.  He seriously has been the best kid from day one... what a blessing he has been to our family.  We all love him so  much... i think i can even say that Parx has learned to love him too :)  I even catch them playing together now.. it still ends in tears about 50% of the time cuz he is so rough but Bridger just loves his brother so much!  Parx can always make him smile and laugh and we love it.  

Just a little about big Bridger man... 

WORDS: umm pretty much nothing other than, "Hi" 

WALKING:  Not even close... he is a master crawler and i think that's all he wants to be haha.. started crawling about 8 months

FOODS:  He will eat about anything.. loves yogurt.. sweet potatoes/squash/carrots... all fruit.. and still loves baby oatmeal and rice cereal.. He absolutely loves suckers and sweets so i try to hide those! He is a little more picky than parx though... goes through spurts of hating things and then loving them.. i'm all confused most of the time!

SLEEP:  This kid is a sleeper.. takes 2 naps still that are about 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours long and sleeps through the night a solid 12 hours.  He is awesome!  

FAVORITE TOY:  Any ball... he loves throwing balls and chasing them... or playing catch 

This kid loves his family... He can be really shy when we are out in public... won't always smile at the random person at the grocery store!  At home is a whole different story.. he is so happy all the time and cruises around all over the house having the time of his life!

weight: 20.5 lbs... 10th percentile

length: 28.25 inches.. 10th percentile

head:  86 percentile.. BOO YA!

Summer 2012...June vacation

Summer has just begun and we have already been around the world it feels like!  Ty's Brother, Brad got married on June 16th so we drove to Bear Lake for their big day... That meant a sweet LONG drive for the Johnston crew!  So i decided to stay in Logan with the kids and hang with some of our favorite people... Jess, Ken, Hailee, Taya, and Brendan!  We had a blast and stayed there from sat-thurs and then were off to Boise for the next 9ish days.  Here are some pics of Utah!

I did tricks too but those don't need to be posted for everyone to see!! And then we were off to Boise where we had a blast as well... Parx says he doesn't like Moses Lake anymore he just likes Boise! Oh well.. he will  live!  I didn't really take any pics while we were in Boise until Bridger's birthday party!! That will be my next post!!

Parx bike riding!!

Mr. Parx is such a little stud... he learned how to ride a 2 wheeler last month!!! It took a couple days but now he is a champ..here are some short videos of the learning experience!

And then we met our good luck charm... some random guy walking down the street! After Parx showed this guy how he can ride a bike it was smooth sailing...

Now I need to get a video of him riding all over the place... I forgot they are all on my phone! And since my phone is ghetto I can't get them on here!

And... this is what Bridger did while we taught him how to ride a bike... sat in a stroller getting pushed up and down the street!!

Now Parx can make it all the way to the park and back with no troubles... well except he has to fall over to stop still haha but it's a soft landing (usually)!

where to begin?!?!

I feel like so much has happened since I last posted!!!! First off, just a little update on the Johnston's lives.  In September Ty took a job with Interpath Laboratories which took us to Pendleton on January 13th to start a 6 month manager training program.  We moved to Pendleton, got all settled, made friends, had a blast being on our own and as an added bonus we were only 3 hours from Boise! All of the sudden, BOOM-
3 months later we are living in Moses Lake, WA.  Ty got his management position a wee bit early and found out on a Wednesday afternoon and started in Washington that Friday.  That was a surprise to us all... it took a few weeks but we moved to Moses Lake April 12th and should be here for awhile :).  Everything considered we are again having a blast and really enjoy it here!  The people here so far have been awesome and we love our ward!! My fav. thing about this town might be Jazzercise haha i have been working out regularly due to this awesome place... seriously it is awesome!! Oh and how could I forget we really do live on a Lake... well it's across the street but still it's awesome!  The only down side to this place is the 5.5 hour drive home but hey it could be worse right?? I keep telling myself that!!  Anyway that was really just an update so I can look back at life and remember these times with my young family...

Soooo... to the kiddos! The kids have done awesome through all the moves and continue to always have smiles.  Bridger is getting so big-10 months now! WHAT THE! Little bugger has been army crawling since he was 8 months and just barely started to crawl like a normal kid :)  He has a serious mullet but its all curly when its wet so i just can't cut it yet! He is loving water and being outside... he thinks dirt and mud are awesome- i'm sure he learned that one from Parx!  Parx is just sooo huge i can't believe it some days.  He is sooo hilarious too... i was making fun of Ty having Adam Lavine (however you spell that) as a boyfriend the other day and then we stopped talking about it and sure enough a few minutes later Parx says, "Dad, how come your boyfriend is such a good singer?" Anyway, he just picks up on everything!  He is ABSOLUTELY obsessed with bugs and it grosses me out (thanks dad!!!).. I mean we have to stop at every little thing crawling on the ground.. which by the way Moses Lake has like triple the amount of bugs outside I think.. or maybe i just notice them more now that Parx wants jars to put them in all the time (thanks again dad!!).  One other thing about Parx that I just love and admire- He is the best at making friends!! I am jealous of how fast he connects with other kids... I will say I have made some great friends already and luckily most of them have kids Parx age too so we have alot of fun!! So thats us and onto some serious pics...

FIRST OFF EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went home to Boise for Easter and got to see our friends and family so it was awesome!

We went from here over to Grandma and Grandpa Johnstons for some more easter fun!  I unfortunately forgot to take pics... but we ate easter lunch since everyone was traveling.. had another egg hunt and played some games with eggs... HAILEE and I were the champs of the easter egg spoon run!! We rock Hailee!

And now on to just some nice warm weather pics... we are having so much fun playing in the beautiful weather!!

             Parx had two water balloon fights on Tuesday since it was SO NICE! First one was with his buddy Hayden..

 
Next one was through the fence haha and it was so much fun... they thought it was the coolest thing ever.. but hardly ever got each other :)

We planted our first garden and are loving it!  First garden = squash, zuchini, cucumber, cilantro, raspberries, strawberries, red, orange and green peppers, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, and green beans! We will see what lives!  Its been planted for prob a month now and everything seems to be alive and kickin still....

 And now for some randomness.... Bridger ate a lemon ahahaha it was soo funny and no ty is not poking him in the eye haha he is prob a good foot from him but it looks like it... that face is all from his first lemon!

 My parents came last weekend and took us to the circus... Parx had a blast! Bridger, well not really.

       They shared a snowcone... and Parx got his face painted earlier in the day at the farmers marker!

 And............... Parx rode an elephant!!

 Here is Parx being sneaky... always sneaking some kind of food lately! Usually it's popsicles...
