Back to the grind

Summer quickly came and went.  I think we fit in plenty of good times and adventures to last this next school year!! Already can't wait until next summer for more camping, swimming, hiking, fishing and time together.  Until then, I'll enjoy a quieter house and a little more "me" time.

Parx: 4th grade, Mrs. Ford, Garden Heights Elementary (basketball player for the warriors)
Bridger: 2nd grade, Mrs. Sutherland, GH Elementary (fire fighter)
Max: 2nd year of preschool, Ms. Brie (fire fighter or a cop)

Max worked hard the weeks before school started to write his name. Nailed it.

They had their first field trip and Preston and I tagged along.  Country cousins for the win.

Silverwood 2018. PARTAAAY

We had a big ol' group of friends head up to Silverwood together this year...23 people!  Cranstons, Palmers, Whitakers, Cooks and us. We stopped for some massive donuts on our way.  When we got to Silverwood their power was out and they didn't know when they would be able to open the gates.  Luckily, it didn't take to long and we are off.

The older boys did a couple roller coasters and we had some serious fun at the water park. The littles could have played on the kiddy rides for days and days.

Toucannon campout

We went camping with the Cooks and Whitakers and brought along Raef and Rider again. This is probably my new favorite spot to camp.  So much good fishing and creeks to play in.

We thought there was a bear outside our tent trailer in the middle of the night that totally freaked us out.  We were turning our car alarm on and off and yelling trying to get it to go away.  Turns out the bear was 2 massive skunks.  Who knew they could sound as big as a bear. We were freakin!

Okamura/Johnston campout

Back to La Grande for some more camping! Same campgroud, different spot and loads of fun. Crawdad catching and eating took up a lot of our time.  Ty and Tyler were pretty into it! This campout we got to take Raef and Rider along with us!
There were multiple poop mysteries that made for some good laughs.  Casha came back to camp with a bag of poop tied around her neck. what the heck happened?? Bear got the mad runs and we had to tag team that clean up job.  After day one there was pooped smeared all over the toilet. like all over. so gross... luckily, grandma Julie took one for the team and cleaned that up for us!
Annnnd Parx shot and killed his first squirrel with his BB gun.  I may have gotten mad that he killed an innocent creature.  Ty assures me that he killed lots of innocent animals when he was a kid and I guess he turned out alright.
