Silver Falls

We had an awesome memorial weekend.  Started off ripping out a bunch of trees in the backyard and doing yard work... to the memorial parade....to baby Z's birthday party...to hiking silver falls.

Family pic at the parade...The boys love parades.  They love everything from the horses to the floats to the SOLDIERS! We stood up for many American Flags and enjoyed seeing the signs with the names of those men and woman serving from our area.  A big thank you to all the men and woman fighting for our freedom now and to those who have given their lives for our safety.

Silver Falls was awesome... It's about a 3 mile hike.  We heard it was a great kids hike, but it was a little harder than we expected.  I was told that it would be a breeze for Bridger so either we went on the wrong hike or my friend's kids are super human.  But it was a blast and we are totally going to do it again. The water fall was beautiful and Parx hiked like a little champ... practically ran up the mountain with his buddies. Max was super happy the entire time... and even took a little snoozer. Bridger was a whole different story.  He started out by falling out of the car and slipping on a rock so he cried and whined 75% of the hike.  He wanted to hold dad's hand and ONLY dad's hand.... he would let me take care of him if I actually picked him up and held him but after a while my thighs were BURNING and that was over.  I forced him to hold my hand and he finally started enjoying the hike once we were on the way down and even he had some fun.
