pumpkin patch field trip

Max had his first field trip to the pumpkin patch! We went to country cousins and learned all about farming and pumpkins. Max and Preston both chose the tiniest pumpkins ever!

30th bash

That's right, I'm the big 3-0.  I used it as an excuse to go on a fishing trip! It was a crap ton of driving and the weather took a nasty turn right before we got there but that didn't stop our crew! In fact, I wasn't even cold!! The huge blizzard the day before meant I couldn't get down the river I've always wanted to fish and that the fly fishing was no good.  But we found plenty of holes with some good sized fish and brought home our limit!  We floated for about 8 hours and caught around 30 fish so it was a good day.  It was fun to spend a weekend with my dad and hubs too! I haven't spent a weekend with just my dad for years.  I also hadn't seen my grandparents in years and it was awesome getting to spend time with them.  I'm already looking forward to next years trip :).

It was super fun sitting in traffic for 1.5 hours by mountain home...

My men checking out all the rivers we passed to see what color they were running.  2 am we finally rolled into grandma and grandpas.
woke up to 6 inches of snow!!! 6 freakin inches!! The average temp that time of year was 70 degrees. what the crap!

Preston 18 months

Oh myyyyyy! I honestly can't imagine life without Preston.  He is such a fun kid, like sooo fun!

He's super tough but loves to give kisses and hugs.  His kisses are perfect... he puckers his lips and just goes for it.  We can make him giggle and laugh so hard anytime we want.  He has already learned how to get a rise out of his bros and doesn't let many opportunities pass him by. He loves giving people a good smack over the head with his bare hand or the closest toy ( I thank his older brothers for laughing at him when he does this).  Good thing it doesn't happen ALLLL the time but when he's in a mood you better run!
He loves balls and animals, especially horses, and looking at airplanes.
Loves being outside and loves when friends come over for a play date.
Definitely a dare devil, heights are no thing for this one!
He hates sandy beaches... WILL NOT move from a towel.
Loves water (just not if it's near a sandy beach)
Loves his muslin blankets at bed time and kissing his animals good night.
He is pumped when daddy gets home!
He's quite the tank and eats and drinks non stop, this has slightly slowed down in the last couple weeks.  He was eating more than the other boys!
He's a talker.  He can repeat almost everything we say.  His first phrase he ever learned was "Let's Go" which pretty much fits his personality perfectly.
Words he says all the time: thank you, bye bye, night night, owie mama, uh oh, dada, kiss, bridger, juice, dog dog, horse, cow, duck, bear, nose, eyes and anything else that I say pretty much! He has started putting 3 words together every now and then.  His little voice melts me!
Stats:
Height: 32.5 inches (52%)
Weight: 27.6 lbs (87%)
Head: 19.5 inches (95%)

When he knows the antibiotics and eye drops are coming he will close his eyes and cover his face!

3rd, 1st and preschool

These dudes are getting huge and another school year hit out of nowhere.

*Parx is a 3rd grader in Mrs. Nash's class! When he grows up he wants to be an athlete.  A little change up from his usual "fisherman" answer, even though his shirt says, "fish life" ha.
*Bridger is in 1st grade in Miss Prickett's class! When he grows up he wants to be a cop.
*Max is in his first year of preschool with Ms. Brie! He loves every second and of it.  He's my first kid to go to preschool as a 3 year old and he seriously can't get enough.  It's pretty nice for me too :).  When he grows up he wants to be a skeleton, which is pretty attainable.

Proud parent moment:  Parx AND Bridger BOTH got chosen by their teachers to be the first student of the week in their classes! So their pictures were on the big wall by the principal's office together.

Parx was chosen because he has gone out of his way to help a new friend in his class with a special need.  This isn't the first time he has stepped up and helped a kid in need.  He seems to always volunteer to help the kid with a broken arm with his homework or in this case help the new boy that doesn't speak much English with his work.  It makes me smile when my kiddos are making good decisions and helping others.
Bridger was chosen because he is kind, a friend to all and always works hard.  He has surprised me sooo much.  I thought for sure when he started school I'd be hearing from his teachers that he gets distracted easily and is a chatterbox! Buuuuut its been the total opposite.  He is a social butterfly but he knows when to turn it on and off! I'm so proud of him too, I love hearing that he is kind and nice to everybody.
I'm just SOOOOO proud of these boys and love them SOOOO much!
