lake house

I might die a little inside reminiscing about our last lake house trip ever.  I'm still in denial that there is an offer on my grandparents house and that this vacation I've done my entire life is now a thing of the past. I will miss this place, my kids will miss this place! So grafeful for memories and pictures and grandparents that provided such beautiful places for us.

This year crawdad hunting and traps were definitely a highlight for the boys.  They watched YouTube videos and set traps.  The older boys would wake up early and get right in the lake to check their traps! As always, Ty and his bonfires were another favorite. Fishing, crawdads, bb guns, geocaching, cousins, obstacle course, hiking, movie nights and the list goes on.  The kids loved tubing and knee boarding and the littles surfed with ty! Parx is a killer Sea Doo driver, he's our cautious kid but not on those things!

shorts at church is totally cool right... at least they both forgot church clothes.

Glacier National Park for the day

Back to the house...

little boy kayak fishing. love.

Preston got stung by a bee in the lip..

Kaleb took Dax, Bridger and Parx knee boarding in a nearby bay.  We kinda forgot about them and about an hour and half later we started getting phone calls from weird numbers.  Well, they sucked the rope up and broke down.  Luckily, they were pretty close to the boy scout island so Caleb pushed them over there and they found help! A couple scouts (man scouts) brought them all back in their little fishing boat and saved the day!  Those weird numbers were the guys from the island! They probably thought we were the worst parents ever. Never ending adventures on vacation.
Then it took half a day to fix the sea doo. ha.

Preston and mickey mouse were off. Who knows how far they would have floated before Preston realized he was alone in a kayak. Him and Mickey were good to go

Max had a mad crush on Payge.

                        And stung on the stomach

Another favorite memory of this trip was our late night date nights with ty and ky. We would put the babies to bed and head for Wild Horse Island.  All 4 of us on one Sea doo!  We only tipped once and we didn't know there was a mountain lion on the island! Tyler got a picture of it staring right at us... I'm still mad at the guys for not showing me.
